August Commissions Please Help $140/$290

I never understand how people raise so much money in deviantart. Usually the people that I see raising the most are for contests and conventions, rather than those who need it for other reasons such as medical concerns, besides cancer, or housing.

But few years ago in high school, I had blood clots in my brain I suffered a lot of brain damage and had to have heart surgery as well. I went from being in the top of my class to almost not graduating high school.  In the aftermath, my insurance refuse to pay for physical therapy. It was too expensive for us to pay for on our own.I turned to DA thinking that I could raise money selling my art to pay for the physical therapy I really needed. After 2 years promoting commissions to pay for physical therapy, I realized that it wasn't going to happen having only raised just over a dollar.

So by then I had already started going about it on my own. To this day  I still have neurological damage and have not attended a single physical therapy session. Instead I turned to my art. I used painting, finger painting as I'm still unable to properly hold a paintbrush although I have come far, clay sculpture, and my most surprising new hobby ball joint dolls to try and regain strength in control in my hands especially.

So this is where I am now. A ball jointed doll that I've wanted since the initial brain damage is being discontinued at the end of this month, August 30th. I've been unable to get the money to pay for it as hard as I've tried. So again I turn to you deviantart, for help. I'm selling commissions and really pushing them this month to buy this before it's gone forever. I'm worried I won't be able to make enough, but please, please fellow deviants, prove me wrong.

 I've been doing everything I can so far to raise money this month. I've worked really hard for years on my own building back muscles, but you must understand some parts are gone forever. That being said I've gotten a job for the first time in my life. Ironically I'm a caregiver whom helps disabled people with their daily lives, many of these people being less disabled myself. Work has been giving me very many hours, so I haven't really made that much money. However it seems to be more about how far I've been able to push myself, more than anyone thought possible. I've raised a bit of money through work for the doll, but I won't be able to have enough by the end of the month.
